Héctor Elizondo is a prolific American actor who has had a successful career in film, television, theatre and radio for over four decades. Hector Elizondo is perhaps best known for his Emmy-award winning role on the David E. Kelley series Chicago Hope.

Born in New York, Elizondo came to prominence for his portrayal of God in Steambath on the new York stage, for which he received an Obie Award. His theatre work continued to receive critical acclaim with roles in Neil Simon's Prisoner of Second Avenue, The Great White Hope, Sly Fox and The Prince.

For his role in the classic film Pretty Woman, Elizondo was nominated for both a Golden Globe and an American Comedy Award. His other film credits include American Gigolo, Young Doctors in Love, The Taking of Pelham 1-2-3, The Flamingo Kid, Nothing in Common, Runaway Bride and Princess Diaries.

His most prominent TV role came in 1994 when he was cast in the CBS drama series Chicago Hope, for which he won an Emmy Award in 1997. During the show's six year run, he earned four Emmy award nominations, an ALMA Award and a Screen Actors Guild award. His other TV credits include guest apperances on Colombo, Monk, Grey's Anatomy, Hill Street Blues, Kojak and The West Wing.
